If you consider that McDonald’s opened its first restaurant in 1940, this relationship has been maintained for the last sixty-two years.

McDonald’s used OSI’s capacity to create custom foods when it released its Chicken McNuggets. Chain restaurants often utilize OSI’s ability to make food processing alternatives. They can create made-to-order processed food products from fruits, vegetables, meats and other proteins. Most consumers are familiar with the types of meat and poultry products OSI produces. David McDonald was born and bred on a farm in northeast Lowa. Later in 1987, he graduated from Lowa State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. Upon graduation, he began his work with OSI industries, Chicago, and worked through to become the CEO and chair of the company. Also, he serves as the head of American Meat Institute and Independent director Mafrig Global Foods from 2008.
